Lambeth Walk Premises Update

October 2025

Lambeth Walk Group Practice continues to provide the full range of GP services to our registered patients from temporary premises across two sites:

  • Hurley Clinic (Kennington Lane) – where most face-to-face appointments take place.
  • Akerman Health Centre – where online and telephone consultations, face-to-face appointments, and administrative work are carried out.

Patients can choose to attend either Hurley or Akerman for their face-to-face appointments.

We recognise that these interim arrangements are not ideal for the longer term. NHS South East London (ICB) continues to work closely with the practice to secure a permanent site. A suitable location has been identified, and the ICB is working with the landlord to ensure the premises can meet the needs of the practice and support the delivery of high-quality primary care.

This opportunity is developing at pace, with discussions well advanced. The current timeline is for Lambeth Walk Group Practice to move into new premises by late 2026 or early 2027.

When we receive official progress updates, we will share them with patients at the next Patient Participation Group (PPG) meeting, which we hope will take place in November or December 2025.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while these plans progress.

In September 2024, we temporarily relocated to Akerman Health Centre, which now serves as our main operational site. We also provide additional face-to-face appointment capacity at our Hurley Branch, located at Ebenezer House. Our administrative and management teams are based at Akerman Health Centre, and our clinicians work across both sites.

We are actively working towards relocating to permanent premises by the end of 2026. To ensure transparency and patient involvement, we meet regularly with our Patient Participation Group (PPG) to provide updates on the relocation progress and gather feedback.
