Flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations 2026/27
Protect yourself this winter
Our 2026/27 flu and COVID-19 vaccination campaign starts on Thursday 1 October 2026.
Vaccination is one of the best ways to protect yourself and those around you from serious illness during the winter months.
We will offer vaccination appointments with our nursing team on weekdays at both of our practice sites:
Akerman Health Centre
60 Patmos Road
London
SW9 6AF
Hurley Branch
Ebenezer House
Kennington Lane
London
SE11 4HJ
Flu vaccination may also be offered during your routine GP or practice appointment. If you are eligible, your doctor or another member of the clinical team may offer you the vaccination. You can also ask our reception or clinical team to check whether you are eligible.
Who is eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination?
The NHS flu vaccination is offered to people who are at increased risk from flu, including:
- Adults aged 65 and over
- People with certain long-term health conditions, including respiratory conditions such as asthma or COPD, heart disease, diabetes, kidney or liver disease and conditions affecting the immune system
- People who are pregnant
- People living in a care home
- People who are the main carer for an older or disabled person
- People who live with someone who has a weakened immune system
- Other groups included in the national NHS flu vaccination programme
Eligibility can depend on your age, health condition and individual circumstances. If you are unsure whether you qualify, please contact the practice and our team can check for you.
Who is eligible for a free NHS COVID-19 vaccination?
For the autumn/winter 2026 COVID-19 programme, the eligible groups are:
- Adults aged 75 and over
- People living in a care home for older adults
- People aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed, as defined by the NHS COVID-19 vaccination programme
The autumn 2026 COVID-19 programme follows the same eligible groups as the previous autumn programme.
If you are eligible for both flu and COVID-19 vaccination, you may be offered both vaccinations, where appropriate.
How will I be invited?
Invitations to eligible patients will be sent from the end of August and throughout early September 2026. This will allow you to book your appointment in advance and secure a vaccination date.
There is no need to use a local pharmacy for your vaccination. The Lambeth Walk Group Practice team will maximise appointment availability and capacity to vaccinate all eligible patients as soon as possible.
Once you receive your invitation, you will be able to book your vaccination using the available booking options, including our online self-booking links, by telephone or in person.
If you believe you are eligible but have not received an invitation, please contact the practice and our team will be happy to check your eligibility.
How to book your vaccination
We will make appointments available in several ways:
- Online – Lambeth Walk Group Practice: Self-booking links will be made available when appointments are released. You can use these links to book an appointment with our nursing team.
- National Booking Service: Eligible patients may also be able to book their vaccination through the NHS National Booking Service. Availability will depend on your eligibility and the vaccination being offered.
- By telephone: You can call the practice and our reception team will help you book an appointment.
- In person: You can also speak to our reception team at the practice.
Appointments will be released regularly, so if you cannot initially find a suitable appointment, please check again at a later date.
If you choose to book through the NHS National Booking Service, please make sure you select Lambeth Walk Group Practice as your vaccination location. This means your vaccination will be administered by our friendly and familiar practice team.

We will also be running additional Saturday flu clinics at:

Please note: only patients who meet the NHS eligibility criteria can receive a vaccination at these clinics.
If you are unsure whether you are eligible, please speak to a member of our team before attending.
Please help us run the clinics smoothly
If you have an appointment, please arrive on time and let us know if you are unable to attend so that the appointment can be offered to another eligible patient.
We look forward to helping our patients stay protected this winter.
