WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I THINK I HAVE THE CORONAVIRUS?

Do NOT attend your GP practice, hospital or pharmacy. Self-isolate at home immediately and got to www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19 for up to date advice on next steps and testing.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT CORONAVIRUS TESTING IS NOT AVAILABLE VIA THE PRACTICE.


How to avoid catching or spreading coronavirus

Do:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water often - do this for at least 20 seconds
  • Always wash your hands when you get home or into work
  • Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissues or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • Put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
  • Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell

Don't:

  • Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean

 

Sexual Health & Family Planning

We are able to offer a range of contraceptive options; all GP’s can do the following:
POP/COCP/COC patches/rings/Depot
Pre-coil counselling including STD swabs
Information regarding implants
Coil checks- look for threads, make sure patient knows how to feel for the threads, take history for any problems/complications of the coil.
Coil removals (Female GP).
STI screen
Nurse Practitioner/Practice Nurse
Pill checks and f/up prescriptions
Depot follow up injections
STI screens
Removal of coils
Prescribe the POP/COCP/ patches/rings
Prescribe and administer depot injections
Please note!!! The following will need to be done at a local sexual health /family planning clinic:
Coil insertions
Implant insertions
Implant removals

We also provide full sexual health screening for male and female patients of any age. If you have symptoms and are concerned or would simply like a check-up, book an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses and we can arrange for a full sexual health screening check for you.
We can test for Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Trichomoniasis, Syphilis, HIV, hepatitis B and C, herpes and warts.
